AMTRAK awarded CAF with a contract to supply sleeper trainsets for the East Coast. Former service was getting old, and needed renovation to answer updated client's need,  so new trainset had to be built.

We were hired by CAF,  with the Industrial Design management responsibility to get AMTRAK's design approval. we woked back to back with the Designers and Managersat Amtrak and developed the train interior different classes to the last detail. The american flavour was a key element into the design proposal, because the design leaders at Amtrak had a very strong link with the north american cultural heritage.

 

Soft mock-Up followed the design for validation and the project was delivered including layout, distribution, colour and trim and 3Ddedign models, with full compliance from both CAF and AMTRAK.
